I purchased a used dyer today and had the pleasure of meeting the owner. I had a small issue and she made things A+ rating for me. I will be back to buy a stove next month. Her customer service experience was top notch in my book. I will refer family and friends to Cook's.
Our clothes dryer went out yesterday, just before we were leaving for vacation. I spoke to Cook's on the phone and they arranged a quick and quality repair. Travis was both professional and courteous. I am very pleased with the service from Cook's Appliance (Nixa).
The staff was completely clueless. Wanted $41 for a part that I found on the internet for $5. Called Stone parts, ended up paying 17.22 for the same part, minus the wires, that I didn't need anyway. Avoid at all costs.
Travis was scheduled to arrive between 1p.m. and 7p.m. on my appointment day. He called a little after 2 and said he would arrive in 10 minutes. He did. He diagnosed the problem with my oven right away. He had the part with him. He turned the power off and put the new part in. He turned the power back on and tried the new part. I paid him and he was out the door. He was neatly dressed, very personable and professional and clearly knew his job. A truly pleasant experience. I appreciated the fact that the price quoted to me when I made the appointment included the service call, diagnoses and labor charge. The part cost was separate but that is to be expected.
Devon (sp?) in the parts department was a lifesaver. I decided to replace my washing machine's drain pump myself; but once I had it torn down to the pump, it appeared to be okay. After talking with Devon, he checked with another tech and told me that the behavior I was experiencing was something they had seen before and the issue was likely the pump, complete with an explanation of why. I purchased a new pump from Cook's, knowing that it was nonrefundable, and bingo, problem solved. I did pay a bit more to buy it from Cook's instead of via the internet, but their help saved me the cost of a service call that would have been necessary since the pump didn't seem to be the issue once I was elbow-deep in the repair. It's nice to know they'll give someone a couple minutes of advice instead of keeping it to themselves to leverage more service calls. It was also nice to drive 5 minutes down the road, pick up the in-stock part, and have my washing machine back up and running the same night.
